Established in 1978 as an Egyptian private free zone company, Framchem operates under Law n° 8/1997, producing Agricultural and Performance chemicals in a factory in Abou Rawash, at kilometer 26 on the Cairo to Alexandria desert highway. The head office is in Mohandessin. Management and staff total around 50.
CFPI Nufarm, the mother company, founder of Framchem, is a medium-sized French chemical company, established in 1928 and based in Gennevilliers, near Paris. In 1998 NUFARM became the major shareholder of CFPI. Nufarm limited is an Autralian-based company with core capabilities in chemical synthesis and marketing.
Through a global network of manufacturing and formulation facilities, the company operates in two key areas of business activity: 

• crop protection 

• industrial , fine and performance chemical.
